DAY 1 TRANSCRIPT
Welcome to Day 1 of Build a Funnel in a Week! I am so excited that you’re here. This week you will be setting up a complete funnel that you will be able to start promoting on social media, sharing on podcasts, running ads to - wherever.
First off, if you hate watching videos + prefer to read - the full transcript of this video is down below. I’m a watcher/listener more so than a reader, but we like to support Neurodiversity + unique learning styles here at Dirty Alchemy, so head on down below if that’s you.
Now let’s review our schedule.
SCHEDULE
Everyday you’ll get an email from me and the Dirty Alchemy team at 8am Eastern Time with your assignments, templates, trainings and other resources that you’ll need for the day.
You have 2 tracks. The 8 day track, and the 30 day track. Building a funnel in a week is no joke. It’s going to take work, focus, and dedication. But you can do hard things for only a week ;) But I also know that we’re all human, and human lives can be messy, so you can also choose to spread this out over 30 days.
Check out the nice little calendars below this video to visualize the 2 time frame options.

I’ll be talking directly about building a funnel in a week, so for those of you that know you’ll be taking 30 days, just adjust what I’m saying for a 30 day time frame that’s outlined in the 30-day calendar.
Today is a training + orientation day. We’re talking funnel basics, and things we need to bring together for actual funnel creation.
Tomorrow you’ll be making decisions around what you’ll be including in each stage of your funnel and branding, and we’ll also cover some tech basics that will be useful on Days 3-5.Â
Day 3 you’ll be setting up the Core Offer segment of your funnel - we start here because I always build funnels backwards - from back to front - so it’s always clear what destination we’re taking our people to.
Day 4 is all about your Entry Level Offer, which is a lower priced offer in your business ecosystem that naturally leads to your core offer.
On Day 5 we’ll work on the front end of our funnel - our Lead Magnet - the way that you invite your audience, or strangers, to go deeper with you + showing off more of the value of your work + your expertise.
Days 3-5 are the most intensive part of this week together. So on Day 6 we have an integration day to catch up on anything that’s fallen behind.
On Day 7 we’ll be connecting each of the funnel parts together + make sure all the tech pieces talk to one another. We’ll also be prepping for LAUNCH DAY!
On multiple days you’ll be getting Tech Walkthrough videos with me, and we’ll be primarily be using Kajabi for this. We love Kajabi over here because it works for people just starting out + people who are scaling a multi-7-figure business. That being said - you do not have to switch to Kajabi, unless you’re looking for an excuse to switch. You can still watch the Tech Walkthroughs and gather the info you need for it to apply to whatever platforms you use already. I’ll also be sharing links to how-to’s for a few other common platforms.
Please don’t let this be an excuse to not do the work - take on the mindset of “I can figure this out.”
And if you were looking for a platform to build your funnel on, checkout the link below for a 30-day free trial that you can use during Build a Funnel in a Week.
So, Finally on Day 8 we’ll launch your funnel. You’ll let it out into the real world! This is where allllll the good stuff happens.
One of the reasons I created Build a Funnel in a Week is so that you just fucking do it. A major barrier for people to have the level of success they want is a fear of rejection and a fear of visibility. By building a funnel in a week, you WILL NOT create a perfect funnel. It may even be an incomplete funnel! But what I really want for you to sink into during this challenge is: Done is better than Perfect.
When your funnel is DONE, you get to actually see how people respond to it. And the response may be shit! But whether it’s a total success from Day 1 or it’s crickets - you will have the data you need to make incredibly educated decisions on how to improve.
By getting it out into the world you will know EXACTLY what point is not resonating with your people, instead of spending weeks or months alone in a room with yourself trying to decide what will work.
The second part of Day 8 is talking metrics and optimization. As a Virgo SUn, Gemini Rising - I do love me some data - but I know that most people don’t! So you’ll get a spreadsheet from us that pinpoints the exact leverage points in your funnel that you want to be paying attention to + you can make wise decisions from.
I love to think of metrics being the beautiful masculine structure that supports your feminine intuition. They go hand in hand.
So you may have realized… This is a lot.
Â
MAKING TIME + HOW TO FOCUS
So take a second now and schedule time in your calendar to work on this for the next few days. I highly recommend carving out a 2-hour block each day to focus and implement. Days 3-5 are the hardest days, Day 3 is the most intense - so prep for that. Once you’re through those it’s smooth sailing.
If you already know your recipe for focus + creativity, then please use it. Some things to think about with that is - if you know you get most in the flow at 11pm - schedule your block in there. If you work best with no distractions and a binaural beat track playing in your ears - plan for that. If you need other peoples energy - decide which coffee shop you want to hang out at all week. Get a full 8 hours of sleep every night and prep some lunches - I don’t know what it is for you! Do everything in your power to manipulate your circumstances to best support you and your flow.
This week is your invitation to let go of resistance. You don’t have time for that. And what I mean by that is - have you ever had a thing on your To Do list that stayed on your To Do list for days - or weeks - and it either stressed you out or drained you so you keep pushing it back? And then you actually sit down and do it and it takes like 10 minutes to complete?
Yeah - that’s resistance. And it’s draining you.
So everyday I want you to think: Action Over Resistance. You can sit down and crank out a sales page for your offer in 45 minutes, or you can spend 4 hours waffling for the perfect wording.
Some practical tips for this are:
- Setting a timer for 25 minutes and seeing how much you can get done in that time with ZERO DISTRACTIONS ALLOWED for those 25 minutes. Take a short break. And repeat.
- Putting on binaural beats for creativity and focus.
- Doing some Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping (here’s one that’s on Procrastination - you literally just follow along with the video)
- Commit to having fun this week. If things start to feel heavy or overwhelming, ask yourself, “How can I have fun with this? What would make this more fun?”
Okay, so let’s talk about what a funnel actually is.
Â
WHAT IS A FUNNEL?
A funnel is a multi-step, multi-modality campaign that seamlessly and subtly leads a potential customer towards a desired action.
In other words, a well-optimized “funnel” allows you to sell…without selling.
They are the secret to promoting your product or service without being pushy or creepy.
Within a funnel you can have someone go from a stranger to someone who is curious about your work - A person who likes what you talk about to become a buyer - A person who buys from you once, to someone who buys from you over and over again.
A funnel is like an artfully crafted Valentine's Day gift that you put the time into thinking about exactly what would delight and please them. It gets to feel like a gift that comes from your heart and magnetizes your dream clients toward you + into your business ecosystem.
We’ll talk about the exact phases of our funnel tomorrow, but our intention for Build A Funnel In A Week is for you to have a system that’s running for you 24/7, effortlessly taking your people on a journey towards who they want to become.
And with that, we’re shooting for evergreen sales - sales rolling into your Stripe account on a monthly, weekly, or daily basis, that supports your business + expands your pool of buyers and potential buyers.
And yes, there is a mindset piece when it comes to evergreen sales.
Â
MINDSET FOR EVERGREEN SALES
A lot of people set their business up with Open-Close launches, or have courses sitting on their website collecting dust. A funnel provides evergreen sales because it creates energy around your offers. No matter what, your offers require energy to sell. That can be your energy - actually out there talking about them. It can be energy in the form of ads running. It can be energy in the form of your offer having an amazing reputation + people are talking about it for you - through word of mouth passively, or intentional affiliate marketing.
You are putting this energy in now so that the system can work for you.
With our mindset for evergreen sales, you have to think about continual improvement, or 1% improvements. We’ll be sprinting to get this funnel up and out into the world, and after that point you’ll be able to improve upon it every month, as more people move through.
You can get sales from a 50% there funnel. And it just gets better as you continue to make little tweaks and improvements over time.

THE PRE-ASSIGNMENT
Okay, so if you missed the Welcome email with the Pre-Assignment, today is the day to do it ;) Your pre-assignment is to fill out our Ideal Avatar questionnaire. You’ve probably done this before, but most people don’t go deep enough or take it seriously enough - so please do that today so you can get the most out of this week together.
You’ll find the link below this video.
An alternate simple hack we’ll use this week is to print out a pic of your favorite client + write to her all week.
Okay! That’s it for today. Go checkout the workbook below this video for today’s assignments.
And I’ll see you tomorrow for Day 2 - Designing your funnel.
